Trigger warning* A poem with mentions of abuse and trauma

Ashes to ashes burning
Like a happy heart dance
Souls intertwine — joyfully
As you can hurt no more
Endings for sure — though
Her scars have no end
A rawness of flesh peeling
Brutally tortured
Ravished and hunted down
Silenced with a look
As it rains on your parade
Stops those tracks you were in
Her body wanes
After each affliction
Though her strength and
Will to survive
Overshadows your will
To destroy her
