Awakened by the sweetness
Of the birds singing as they
Perch upon the window ledge
Gentle blowing of the leaves
Against her bedroom window
Rising up from the warmth
She leaves behind — dreams
Dare to dream, hungry for
A future of wishes come true
She marvels in her mind blowing
Realities evolving from
Her dreams to become unrestricted
Drawing a line under
Who she was and
Who she no longer is
