Telling the truth
So deeply buried
Like opening a can of worms
Like pandora’s box
With hidden secrets
With a potential
To destroy them
But didn’t
An arrest without a charge
But I am safe
I left before
I opened a can of worms
They said I lied
That I made it up
It’s a hard sell
Telling the truth
Yet pandora’s box
A can of worms
Had to be opened
A life was destroyed
Mine —
But I told the hard truth
Then moved away
Where my life
Is repairing, while
I live with the lid off
