I am that girl
Abandoned
Rejected
Disowned
Born into chaos
A seeker
An all-in kind of girl
You see — I love
Given half the chance
Yet you all leave
You all left
I am that girl
Searching
Learning
Longing
Surviving you
A seeker
Of acceptance
A wisher
Of a place of belonging
You see
I am that girl

I recently read a poem about attachment and it struck a chord, it resonated with me on such a deep level. I often feel a sense of shame and embarrassment because I do have attachment difficulties which at times, prevents me from allowing myself to get close to people.
I wrote this piece because I felt inspired because of that recent poem!
Here’s my take on my own attachment and what it is like in my shoes!!
