I am ‘warrior'

Walking through worlds

Shards of unearthed debris

Underfoot, yet carry on

Stronger, broken —

I am ‘warrior'

Breaking each layer

Of fragile skin

Like old tatty leather

Torn and scratched —

I am ‘warrior'

Daylight falls while

Streetlights lit up

Like a halo around my head

I stand tall in pretence —

I am ‘warrior'

A never-ending journey

Walking through worlds

Stronger, broken but —

I am ‘strength'

I am ‘courage’

I am ‘hope’

I am ‘warrior'
