I know what you said

I’m a mess with much less
Than you and all the rest
My head hangs in shame
As you said I was to blame
As an outsider, you said I’d remain
None the wiser
For what the hell I did
That night
I know what you told me
While I ran away and hid
I begged and cried and kneeled by your side
Your mind made up
But…
To hell with you
And all the rest
Because I’m no mess
With much less
My head above the clouds
As blame isn’t my game
My life will swing by
With a future
Filled with sunshine
Kindness and
Without hatred
