**TRIGGER WARNING** Mentions of abuse/death

I think I always knew
That I was different from all the rest
I think I always knew
That My life was just a test
I think I always knew
One day I may fly the nest
But —
I didn’t know
I’d die one day ~ I was a mess
I didn’t know
My life and my name meant less
Then —
I think I always knew
That when you knocked me senseless
I think I always knew
That would be the end ~ I was defenceless
I do know
How this ends
