Trigger warning —mentions of abuse

If I had my time again
I’d tell you no
A million knots louder
I would fight back
My words would matter
And you would be stunned
If I had my time again
I’d tell all and sundry
To make people listen
To words unspoken, I’d tell
My body language would
Speak along with my lost voice
If I had my time again
I would stop you all
No bruising present
You would be held accountable
Justice would come knocking
I’d have had a life
If I had my time again
I would live in peace
As a child, I’d play
I’d learn and grow
I would live without shame
I would be fearless
If I had my time again
