In different skin

Darkness befalls her
Life tattered and frail
Her young and hopeless
Frame of skin and bone
Her vulnerable fragility
She screams for hope
For normal
For light
Where light does not exist
Yet — she wanes for life
A future in different skin
Impossibility as it seems
As she whispers to be heard
Unanswered prayers
To become free
Though, left to find her own way
In different skin
