Season’s dread

As winter is nearing

Season’s dread

Where families rejoice as one

Then their is me

Frightened and alone

Yet not quite alone

Stuck in a time of desperation

A date and time

A year tattooed on my soul

An anniversary

Best forgotten

But how?

I almost died that day

Yet you didn’t stop

Allowing your audience to watch

Here, my season’s dread lives
