The ole shack

Abandoned piles of wood

Thrown together as

An ole shack

Disguised as derelict

Yet secrets held

Within these walls

Her silent cries

Muffled by his fists

Left alone for hours

In the company

Of her thoughts

And the darkness

Of her mind

Sanity relinquished

She rendered her

Strength and courage

Found in the essence

Of her survival in

The ole shack
