Life and death
Roots fragile
Like her heart
Laid bare a soul
Resting within
An emblem
Of hope
Proof
She fought
And survived
With
Broken off roots
Ready for
New growth
Here right now
A symbol of
Beauty, of
Life lived
And then
Death
