She wilted

She tastes every flavour

Of every letter or word spoken

Smelling fear in every movement

She catches a glimpse of hope

Yet feeling of hopelessly failing

Ya’ll sit flawlessly imperfect

Carrying on your days

Nonchalant, blank

Hearing of unfamiliar sounds

Like those of memories buried

Deeply within her soul

In basements, she wilted

With the smell of fear

Reoccurring through her eyes

Bleeding through tears

Through her moment

Where she finds peace

A sanctuary a safe haven

An oasis of calmness

Less damming
