Sticks and stones

Caressing her soul

Poisoned by hatred

And inflicted pain

Cruel youths hurled

Fists and abuse

While teachers turned

Blind eyes to such

Treatment — they paused

Seeing sadness, yet nothing

Seething and angry, but why?

Sticks and stones

They never broke her bones

But names, they almost killed her

Bullies are nothing less than cowards!! Their power and control comes from their peers and having an audience!!

Year’s, spent being bullied — hit, punched, spat at etc but my worst one was when we had farm duty lesson (Biology) at school!

Learning how to take care of all the animals, I was pushed into a 6ft (ish) rabbit hutch and locked in there.

My lips stayed silent and the teacher laughed because she was told that we were joking about!!

Sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt you…Actually this in reality is so far away from being true!!!

Sticks and stones, they never broke my bones but names, they almost killed me!
