True colours

Hunched in a corner

She weaps in honour

Of those true colours

Exposed inside darkness

Those who left her to rot

Lets remind you of all the

Beatings and times lost on you

Carefully hiding her pain

From those who weren’t to know

Day by day, building herself up

Becoming a brand new

Version of herself — untouched

She grows, with beauty

Holding gratitude in her hands
