Does it make you hard
Unconquerable
To ridicule a child
To beat her
Leaving her bruised
Yet, you rejoiced
Did she?
She was not weak
Yet but just a child
Nor was she a punching bag
But you made her into one
You say, they made you do it
They did — but you could have stopped
The thrill in your hands
Her blood on your hands
Her life in your hands
Of who you almost killed
You think it made you hard
Unconquerable
