A name inscribed
Grief poem
A name
Inscribed in
Gold glitter
A universe
Abyss
I wonder
Where light
Sounds shine
Ever brightly
Blinding, yet
Racing, reaching
For your star
With your name
Inscribed
Etched as deep
As an ocean of
Gold glitter allows
As an angel
You know
What comes next
What comes next?

As I'm nearing the painful anniversary of losing this beautiful woman, my best friend to Cancer, I wanted to dedicate this poem to her.
She was my best friend, my confidante and I was this to her, too! I remember the day that I was told that you’d gone, and that overwhelming feeling of loss and utter heartbreak, the tears did not stop that day. At your funeral, the tears again did not stop — It was unbearable. On the week of your anniversary, I will remember you and listen to your favourite songs : Born to run by Bruce Springsteen and Ideal world by the Christians.
Here is my Move Me Poetry Battle poem on Twitter!!
