Wonder

Looking past yet

Through these eyes

A wonder appears, while

Curiosity disappears

Her claws dig deep for

Wonder to show itself

Feeling perturbed

As she scans the room

With nothing less than

Cobwebs and an old chair

Left behind, not wonder

But the scars he left behind

The damage done while

Berating her for breathing

Intermittently as she, herself

Refuses to leave this

World in a wooden box
