Poem

You capture the beauty
In time trapped by the sun
You see shapes misunderstood
For dark silhouettes
You wander beyond the stars
Like an endless glimmer of hope
You can’t teach dogs old tricks
When all you see is fear
Yesterday and today and tomorrow
You will see beyond here
Misconceived as terror
You will be that endless glimmer of hope
When you look beyond those stars
You will capture the beauty
With or without time trapped by the sun
You will see shapes
Not misunderstood for dark silhouettes
You will see yourself
Taking steps to heal yourself of pain
Now — can you see?!
